May Be The Best Line-Ups Ever
Be, Proud Camden’s flagship clubnight have today unveiled details of their May line-up, one of the strongest in the clubs two and a bit year history. Continuing the club’s obsession with racking up the airmiles the five nights in May feature up and coming acts from New York, Hollywood, Sweden, Norway, New Zealand and France as well as some of the UK’s finest new artists.Taking in everything from the John Peel approved jangly indie of Love Is All to the gothic tinged electro of Battant, Lo-Fi Fnk’s leftfield disco electronica and the afro-calypso-ska-rock of Gold Teeth, Be will once again be showcasing many of the bands sure to be occupying the end of year hot lists.Away from the music, May also see’s Be stage one of their rare but spectacular themed parties when, on the 23rd, Proud will become for one night the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Previous themed nights have transformed the former horse hospital into a Winter Wonderland or seen trapeze artists hurtling through the air above the bands, so expect something special.Said David Harris, promoter: “Be at Proud used to be a hugely popular event, now its a weekly roadblock. We love combining cutting edge music and visuals with a dash of old-fashioned theatricality, mixing the flamboyant with the frankly foolish.”The weekly clubnight, which has made a name for itself with its blend of indie, disco, electro and rock n' roll, spectacular live acts, live visuals and burlesque performance art, has previously showcased the likes of Mystery Jets, Friendly Fires, Ebony Bones, The Temper Trap, Bombay Bicycle Club with DJ duties handled by people such as New Young Pony Club, Annie, Disco Bloodbath and Trash’s Rory Phillips.www.be-at.co.ukDownload the full press release from here.
