Wall of Sound Unveil Next Season’s Signings

aeroplane-press-pic-1aHaving only just polished off the last of their 15th birthday cake, Wall of Sound is already looking to the future with three new signings, Aeroplane, Kids on Bridges and Reverend Sound System.Belgian duo Aeroplane are probably two of the most in demand remixers/producers/DJs around today. Having applied their magic touch to the likes of Grace Jones, Friendly Fires, Sebastian Tellier and Robbie Williams, Aeroplane will release ‘We Can’t Fly’, one of the most anticipated electronic albums of 2010 this September. With over a million hits on MySpace, Kids on Bridges have already made a name for themselves with their ‘dirty filthy electro pop’. Having wound up the powers that be with an X Factor baiting hit YouTube video, the Kids are putting the finishing touches to debut album, mixed by Steve Dub (Chemical Brothers), and preparing for the upcoming festival season. Finally putting pen to paper is Reverend & The Makers’ John McClure who has teamed up with fellow Wall of Sound act Ocelot and DJ/producer Jagz Kooner to form Reverend Sound System. Having already showcased the new live set at Snowbombing and The Great Escape, Reverend Sound System is set for a busy summer of festival appearances with their debut release scheduled for August.Alongside these new signings Wall Of Sound has also announced details of several more releases due later this year. Royksopp follow up 2009’s critically acclaimed Junior with the darker, more instrumental Senior, intercontinental duo Ocelot release No Requests, Grace JonesHurricane and Propellerheads’ seminal Decksanddrumsandrockandroll, both receive the deluxe edition treatment, and later this year legendary synthpop band The Human League return with their hugely anticipated new album, their first release for nine years.Taking it to the streets Wall of Sound artists old and new, including Reverend Soundsystem, Kids on Bridges and Ocelot, will be out in force this summer with label showcases at both The Great Escape In Brighton (14th May), Liverpool Sound City (21st May at the Haigh Building), Sonar (Barcelona,19th June), and a residency at Pacha in Ibiza over the summer.
