HSG Music, masters of creating unique pop up events featuring the likes of Master Shortie, Effie and also having worked with Funeral For A Friend and Francesqa, are now embarking on their biggest production to date.Transforming Islington’s Metal Works, they are presenting a night of live music from the 3rd year music students of the University of Westminster, a course that has already spawned fast rising talent Jamie Woon, Grammy winner and Alexander Shuckburgh (who co-wrote and produced ‘Empire State of Mind’), Above and Beyond, The Feeling and Infadels.Headlining the night are legendary London pop-punk outfit‘The Holiday Plan’, who returned to the music scene last year following their untimely split in 2005. They have previously toured with the likes of Billy Talent, Thrice, Reuben, My Awesome Compilation, Matchbook Romance as well as playing numerous shows with Biffy Clyro. After performing under different monikers since 2006, the band reverted to ‘The Holiday Plan’ in 2010 and are currently recording an album with Ben Samson of fellow UK punks Lower Than Atlantis.Despite being relatively new to the live music circuit, ‘Foxx Bandits’ have already found themselves headlining Camden Barfly and ILL-FIT @The Social, alongside other prestigious performances in renowned venues and record stores. Their music was also featured on R1 where they were elected ‘Band of The Week’ on Rob da Bank’s BBC Intro-juicer.Identity performs hip hop with a smile, with lyrics devoid of misogyny, violence and profanity. Emerging from Hull’s musical mecca, this bright talent from the North draws on an eclectic and exciting mix of musical influences, delivering an original sound. IDentity combines his light-hearted, intelligent lyrics with a mixture of beats ranging across a broad spectrum of musical genres. With Re Shapebringing their brand of rap and hip-hop alongsideJoseph Perry’s Christian gospel rock influences and Music by Instinct’s quirky electro indie-pop, there is guaranteed to be a little bit of something for everyone in this showcase of tomorrow’s chart-stormers.Alongside the acts, the Metal Works’ courtyard will play host to an Acoustic/Open Mic session and BBQ as well as awarding the University’s very own Commercial Music Awards. Will we find the next Simon Cowell in the nominations for ‘Industry High Flyer’ or Lady Gaga’s rival in ‘Best Performer’? You’ll just have to come and vote!Official Website - http://www.hsg-music.com/eventsFacebook – http://www.facebook.com/hushsecretgigs
