Cooking Vinyl Creates Sync Department
- Karis Beckingham Recruited as ‘Head of Synchronisation’- Allie Bailey of Atlantic brought in as ‘Label Product Manager’2 July, London:- Karis Beckingham has joined independent powerhouse Cooking Vinyl Group to head up a newly launched synchronisation department. Adding further to the expanding Cooking Vinyl team is Allie Bailey, who has taken over the Product Manager role for Cooking Vinyl Records after five years at Atlantic.As Head of Synchronisation, Beckingham’s role is to procure syncs for Cooking Vinyl Records artists and Cooking Vinyl Publishing writers. In her first days, Beckingham has already wrapped up a sync deal with one of Cooking Vinyl’s hallmark artists, The Prodigy.Before joining Cooking Vinyl, Beckingham went to Huge Music in 2008 as music supervisor after a stint running her own tour booking and promotions company for local punk and hardcore bands. Two years after joining and having worked with SKY, Audi, The Sun, MTV, Warp films, WCRS, Saatchi and Saatchi and RSCG, she left Huge to broaden her industry experience with Pedigree Cuts, BMG, Chrysalis and The Brits.Flying out of the gates Karis Beckingham has, in her first week in the job, gained sync deals for The Enemy on the new FIFA 13 soundtrack and The Prodigy in the opening episode of Series 2 of MTV’s ‘Teen Wolf’.Injecting further fresh blood into the label, Allie Bailey has just begun as Product Manager at Cooking Vinyl Records in a role that includes putting together album campaigns for artists including Amanda Palmer, Marilyn Manson, The Blackout, Reverend and the Makers, The Enemy and The Prodigy.Bailey worked at Atlantic for five years in product management for artists The Joy Formidable, The Streets, Jason Mraz, James Blunt, Fanfarlo, Grouplove and Flo Rida, not to mention the quadruple platinum selling double Brit award winning artist Ed Sheeran.Karis Beckingham, Head of Sync, Cooking Vinyl said “I’m pretty excited to be working with such a great independent label as Cooking Vinyl.
