Robbie Williams at the O2: live spectacular filmed for global TV broadcast
International superstar, Robbie Williams, returns to the stage at London’s 02 Arena between November 22nd-24th with a spectacular new live show. Robbie will perform music from his highly anticipated new album Take The Crown (due for release on November 5th on Island Records) alongside classics from his extraordinary career.Details of the shows are under wraps, but Robbie is once again working with his ‘Dream Team’ including set designer Mark Fisher (Cirque du Soleil, 2008 Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony), producer Lee Lodge (50th Grammy Awards, MTV 2012 Movie Awards) and creative designer Willie Williams (Lady Gaga, George Michael).The final show (November 24th) will also be broadcast live, under the direction of Hamish Hamilton, fresh from his work on the London 2012 Opening Ceremony and Madonna’s XLVI Super Bowl half time performance.Done and Dusted will be producing this live event and a post-produced edit will be available in mid-December, in time for Christmas and New Year TV schedules, with BlinkTV acting as exclusive distributor of the show worldwide.With a number of broadcasters already signed up, BlinkTV will present the show to buyers at MIPCOM and the Asia TV Forum in Singapore.Christine Cowin, BlinkTV’s head of content, said: “Considering the depth of talent working on this broadcast, Robbie Williams at the O2 is guaranteed to be spectacular in the truest sense of the word.
