Skindred sign global recording deal with DoubleCross

DoubleCross, Cooking Vinyl’s recently launched rock imprint, are delighted to announce the signing of UK Ragga Metal band Skindred to a new worldwide record deal.With media already predicting 2013 as the year of heavy rock, the band are currently camped in Roni Size’s Bristol studio, writing and recording in preparation for a new album. The new material will be produced by James ‘LeRock’ Loughrey (Page & Plant, Flux Pavilion) who worked on the band’s 2011 album “Union Black”.Described by Radio 1’s Daniel P Carter as “one of the best live acts Britain has ever produced”, Skindred are a genuine worldwide phenomenon, uniquely blending elements of punk, rock, metal, reggae and electronic music. In 2011 they won Kerrang’s much-respected Devotion award, while last year the band picked up Metal Hammer’s coveted Golden God for Best Live Act.2012 also saw Skindred play to audiences across the world, with a string of high profile festival slots - including Download, Exit and Rock A Parque - along with sold-tours at venues such as London’s Brixton Academy.
