Association Of Independent Festivals Help Stage Green Conference As Part Of ILMC

The Association of Independent Festivals, A Greener Festival and Bucks New University will be presenting the fifth edition of Green Events & Innovations at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London, on Thursday 7th March 2013.For the first time the event is being hosted at the International Live Music Conference, the world leading gathering of live music business professionals from around the globe.Speakers include:

• Bill Egan of Aggreko, power contractor to the Olympics as well as many UK Festivals,
• Marek Gordan of SITA who took the mammoth and ambitious waste management contract for the 2012 Olympics,
• Rob Scully of 3 times UK Green Festival Award winner Croissant Neuf Summer Party,
• Chris Johnson of Shambala Festival who spearheaded the development of the Power Behind Festivals Guide launched in recent months,

Whilst some festivals have achieved 100% renewable energy, others believe there is really no reliable alternative to the diesel generator for a major event.
