Both artists will release new studio albums via services deals; The Rifles for the world and Gary Numan for the world excluding North America.Released on 14th October, Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind) will be Numan's 20th studio album, and, in order to match the pioneering spirit of the artist, Cooking Vinyl will deliver an innovative online social campaign around its launch. A new track I Am Dust was premiered this week on Stereogum.The Rifles' upcoming fourth studio album began life in late 2012 as a PledgeMusic campaign in partnership with ATC Management, which went on to achieve 188% of the funding target. Signing with Cooking Vinyl marks a big step for the four-piece band following their crowdfunding success, and the album launch (date to be confirmed) will be preceded by a UK tour in November.Says Cooking Vinyl’s Martin Goldschmidt : "We’ve been waiting a long time for the new album from Gary and I’m pleased to say it’s absolutely been worth it.
