London, 25 April 2017:- Cementing its status as one of Britain’s most ambitious and affordable comedy festivals, Ealing Comedy Festival today announces its exciting schedule of events for 2017 across five fun-fuelled nights. This year’s festival begins with one of Britain's best-loved comedians Julian Clary headlining, with Alun Cochrane and Jo Caulfield supporting. With thirty years of camp comedy under his belt, Clary has toured across the world with his infamous one-man show, while regularly appearing on ‘QI’, ‘Have I Got News For You’ and BBC Radio 4’s ‘Just a Minute’. Expect dirty wordplay and double entendres aplenty from this national treasure. The following evening will see Stephen K Amos host a gala involving some of his favourite comedy performers, including Tom Stade, Jeff Innocent and Imran Yusuf. A regular on the international comedy circuit, Stephen has appeared on a whole host of comedy programming including ‘Have I Got News For You’ and ‘Mock The Week’, and has clocked up three nominations for Chortle's Best Compere Award. The following week will see Dara Ó Briain and Rob Beckett headline, with Russell Kane hosting the final evening and gala night. Dara is known as both the enigmatic host of ‘Mock The Week’ and for his stand-up credentials. He was voted in the Top 20 of ‘Britain’s Greatest Stand-Ups’, and can currently be found presenting BBC Two’s ‘Robot Wars’. Rob is a team captain on ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’, and Russell is known for his regular appearances on audience favourites such as ‘Celebrity Juice’ and ‘Live At The Apollo’. They will be joined by witty one-liner comedian Milton Jones.Ealing Comedy Festival is one of 2017’s Ealing Summer Festivals, a series of eight separate events taking place in the borough between July and September.
