Because Music Appoints Ian Quay as Head of Marketing, United States
14 April 2020, Los Angeles: Because Music, a leading independent music group founded by Emmanuel de Buretel, announced Ian Quay as Head of Marketing, United States. Based in Los Angeles, Quay will be responsible for Because’s roster in America, partnering closely with their label services partner at Universal Music Group, Caroline, as well as in direct collaboration with the international team of the Because Group in London & Paris. Ian will report to Emmanuel de Buretel.

Prior, Quay served as General Manager, North America at Ninja Tune, a prestigious independent record label headquartered in London. He led stateside campaigns for Bicep, Bonobo, Floating Points, ODESZA, Young Fathers, and many more. His industry experience spans back fifteen years in marketing at indies & majors alike, overseeing campaigns at Columbia Records such as Foster The People, HAIM, and Peter Bjorn and John plus Enya, Nile Rodgers, and Lake Street Dive at Warner Music Group. Currently, Quay manages a boutique artist roster including indie duo, Cults and rising singer-songwriter, Kate Teague.
