New Names For Soundwave And April Ticket Offer
The Soundwave Festival today announced several new additions, including DJ and producer Tom Middleton, to the festival’s inaugural line-up. The new acts will join a bill already packed with heavyweight leftfield artists such as Hexstatic, The Bays, Alice Russell, Bonobo and DJ Yoda, for four days of great music, boat parties and guaranteed sunshine on the beautiful Croatian coast. One of the leading figures of the UK scene for nearly two decades now, Tom Middleton has been responsible for pushing back the boundaries of electronic music under a variety of pseudonyms. Whether producing electro (as Jedi Knights), ambient music (as Global Communications), house (as Cosmos) or any number of the other genres he has excelled at, Tom has consistently been a pioneer and innovator and as a veteran of many festivals such as The Big Chill s a worthy addition to any line up.Said Rob Waller, co-Founder of The Soundwave Festival, “I’ve spent many a happy hour dancing to Tom’s sets at various festivals over the years, so we’re delighted to have him on board, I can’t think of anywhere better to listen to him spin than on a warm sandy beach under the stars.”Other additions to the line-up announced today include VZI, Laura J Martin, East Park Reggae Collective, Black Diamond Bay, Boy Com, 2econdclasscitizen, Paper Tiger, The 39 Steps, Mr Doris, Slutty Fringe DJs, Tom Central and the Confusion DJs.The promoters also announced that throughout April, festival goers will be able to purchase 5 tickets for the price of four, making this already affordable summer break even better value for money.Said Noah Ball co-Founder of The Soundwave Festival, “When we came up with the idea for The Soundwave Festival our goal was to create not only the best event we could, but to make sure that it was affordable to as many people as possible. Looking at the current line up and with tickets costing less than the average night out in the UK, I think we can happily say we’ve succeeded on both counts.”The festival is set in the gorgeous surroundings of Petrcane, close to Zadar, a fishing village on a peninsular where the Dalmation Coast meets The Adriatic Sea. With an outside Amphitheatre overlooking the ocean for live acts, a Beach Side Terrace for day & night time dancing and a 600 capacity nightclub for the beats to go on right through the night, it is one of the most unique places in the world to host a party. The surrounding area is equally beautiful and there is plenty to do such as island hopping, exploring the national parks and nearby mountains, enjoying the culinary delights of the local farming and fishing villages, or just relaxing on any of the nearby golden beaches.Download a PDF of this press release from here.
