14th December 2010, London: - Cooking Vinyl is proud to announce a quadruple whammy of exciting new signings to the label. Ron Sexsmith, Asian Dub Foundation, Peter Bjorn & John and Does it Offend You, Yeah? have all signed licensing deals with the West London based label for their forthcoming releases, with options in place for future recordings.Admired by everyone from Paul McCartney to Bono to Elton John, Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith is returning to Cooking Vinyl after a string of commercial success with Warner and V2 – and they are very happy to have him back in the indie fold. His album Long Player Late Bloomer will be released on 28th February 2011, via a Europe-wide licensing deal with Cooking Vinyl.Asian Dub Foundation’s new album A History of Now will be released worldwide (excluding Japan) on Cooking Vinyl on 7th Feb 2011. The group’s 12th album since 1995’s Facts and Fiction, it will be their first for Cooking Vinyl.British electro-rockers Does it Offend You, Yeah? have escaped their deal with Virgin/EMI to release their next album, Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You, with the London independent in a deal covering all territories worldwide. The album, the follow-up to their 2008 debut You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into, will be released in the spring of 2011.Swedish Indie Rock trio, Peter Bjorn & John have signed to the label to release their next album Gimme Some next March, in an agreement covering the world excluding North America, with an option for their next album.Cooking Vinyl MD and founder Martin Goldschmidt said “It’s been a great year for us, with great results (Groove Armada, Charlatans, Underworld) and great records (Turin Brakes, Audio Bullys, Ocean Colour Scene and many more).
