Graphite appoints IPC Media’s Music Marketing Head as MD

Graphite – the music and brand management company owned by award-winning electronic music pioneer Ben Turner – has recruited Tim Pearson from IPC Media.Pearson joins the Graphite team with immediate effect in the role of Managing Director, bringing with him 20 years experience in music and marketing industries, most recently as Head of Marketing & Events, Music Titles at IPC Media, where he presided over live events for the NME and Uncut brands for almost five years.Prior to this, Pearson delivered music strategies for some of the UK's leading youth, music and lifestyle brands, leading key accounts at the award-winning creative agencies Cake and Euro RSCG-KLP where his clients included Carling Live, Bacardi Global, Orange Telecom and Grolsch.He will help oversee the development of Graphite as it enters its second decade in business and as it attracts interest from American companies looking for its expertise in the EDM space, driving the company forwards and bringing in new business.Pearson said: "I have long been an admirer of the innovative and awe-inspiring work that Ben and the Graphite team have been delivering over the past few years and am very excited to join them at such a pivotal time as the company ramps up for the next level."Turner’s Graphite manages music and technology icon Richie Hawtin and BBC Radio 1 and Bestival curator Rob da Bank, as well as working with a variety of brands.Recent projects include Smirnoff/Diageo’s association with David LaChapelle and Liam Gallagher's first ever brand endorsement with the Philips docking speaker range.
