Consumer Specialist Joins Name PR Team, Spearheads Key Phase In Agency’s Growth

dsc_04072 Name PR, one of the UK’s leading music pr and marketing agencies, is delighted to announce the latest addition to its team, Senior Press Officer Kayleigh Watson.

Beating over 300 applicants to the post, Kayleigh joins after a successful stint at boutique consumer PR agency Kazoo where she worked on the BT Digital Music Awards, Disney's videogame titles and consumer products and a host of European gaming events, whilst managing sister agencies in Spain, France and Germany.

Kayleigh’s work on the critically acclaimed Split/Second: Velocity Xbox/Playstation 3 game secured Kazoo’s nomination for the forthcoming PRCA Award for Best Media Relations, and in 2009 Kayleigh was nominated for games B2B publication MCV’s annual ‘30 under 30’ feature on the profession’s rising stars.

Prior to Kazoo, Kayleigh worked at Barrington Harvey PR, managing press campaigns for both the Guitar Hero franchise (working with artists such as Metallica, Pixie Lott and The Saturdays) and the launch of DJ Hero (including promo activity with David Guetta, Scratch Perverts and DJ Shadow). This followed a spell at Roadrunner Records, working with acts such as Slipknot, Kids in Glass Houses, Airbourne and Nickelback.

With experience of working on multi-national campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands Kayleigh brings a wealth of experience to the agency as Name ramps up its activity and realises its goal of being the best in its field.

Whilst working across all Name’s consumer-facing clients and developing Name’s festival business, which saw it represent the Outlook Festival and Soundwave Croatia Festival in 2010, Kayleigh will also manage Name’s growing list of live trade clients, including the Association of Independent Festivals, Blink TV, WeGotTickets and Graphite, operating within the live industry.

Said KayleighI’m really excited to be joining, and am looking forward to being part of the passionate team at Name and offering a wider PR service to our clients.”

Commented Sam Shemtob, Name PR founder, “Kayleigh rose head and shoulders above hundreds of applicants in our ‘Krypton Factor’ style selection process.
